LeBron James’ quest to become all-time scoring leader has Lakers ticket prices skyrocketing

James needs 63 points to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record of 38,387

LeBron James’ pursuit of the all-time scoring record is driving up Lakers ticket prices

James is 63 points away from surpassing Lakers icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record of 38,387 points, after scoring 26 against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday. Given James’ average of 30.2 points per game, fans anticipate when he’ll break the record.

James is expected to perform well against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 7, based on his average performance. However, this is not a guarantee as players can have off nights and averages are just that – an average.

There are rumors that James may sit out for the game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, Feb. 9. This game, featuring Giannis Antetokounmpo and other talented players, will be nationally televised on TNT, attracting a wider audience. James, hailing from Akron, Ohio, has a reputation for making history and this game could be another opportunity for him to do so.

A seat between the scorer’s table and the Lakers’ bench, offering a prime view of James potentially setting a new scoring record, is priced at $100,000. Other courtside seats are available for $108,900 and $60,500.

At age 38, James is playing at a capacity that is comparable to Tom Brady finally retiring at 45 years old from the NFL.

His level of play has only gotten better with age, and there is no telling when he will ever stop lacing up his kicks, especially with his eldest son, Bronny James, soon eligible to play in the NBA.
